2023年9月16日-17日にドイツ・バイエルン地方のノイゼスで合気道セミナーを指導した。
I instructed an Aikido Seminar in Neusaess, Bavaria, Germany, from Sep. 16th to 17th, 2023.

セミナーの主催者はDynamic Aikido Nocquet (D.A.N.)、本部道場最初の外国人の内弟子であったアンドレ・ノケ氏の創始した団体です。参加者はドイツ国内は勿論、イギリス、フランス、ベルギーから約70名が集まった。新型コロナウィルスの影響がなくなり2019年以来、4年ぶりの訪問となった。２日間のセミナーで１時間半のクラスが５回と審査が行われた。基本技と武器技を中心とした指導に加え、身体調整法や呼吸法や日常生活でのトレーニングなどの紹介も行った。参加者は皆、以前のようにセミナーを楽しんでいた。

The organizer of this seminar is Dynamic Aikido Nocquet(D.A.N.). This organization was founded by Mr. Andre Nocquet, the first foreign Uchideshi of Aikido Hombu Dojo. There were approximately 70 participants who gathered from Germany, the UK, France, and Belgium. After Covid-19, I attended the D.A.N. seminar for the first time in four years, starting in 2019. Over the course of the two-day seminar, we had five classes, each lasting an hour and a half, and a grading exam. During the seminar, I primarily focused on teaching basic techniques and weapon techniques. Additionally, I introduced several special methods, including body conditioning exercises, breathing techniques, and daily life training. All participants enjoyed the seminar just as they did in the past.

合気道の大きな目的の一つは自然性を取り戻すことです。セミナーの中で説明したように技を滑らかに行うためには自然に動くことが必要です。身体の調子が悪いことも自然性を失っていることから起こってきます。様々なトレーニングは自然性を取り戻すために行われています。この自然性を取り戻す作用に注目すれば様々な場面で合気道を活かすことが出来るでしょう。どうぞ合気道を皆さんの人生の中で使ってください。

One of the primary goals of Aikido is to restore natural movement. I explained that performing techniques smoothly requires moving naturally. The deterioration of the body’s condition often results from the loss of natural quality. Various training methods are designed to help us regain this naturalness. By focusing actions that reclaim naturality, you can apply Aikido principles in various aspects of your life. I encourage you to incorporate Aikido into your daily life.
